ଶାରଦୀୟ ଦୁର୍ଗା ପୂଜାର ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ: ଏହି ପର୍ବ ମା’ ଦୁର୍ଗାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ମହିଷାସୁର ବଧର ବିଜୟକୁ ସୂଚିତ କରେ, ଯାହା ଅସୁରତ୍ୱ ଉପରେ ଧର୍ମର ବିଜୟର ପ୍ରତୀକ। ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ମା’ଙ୍କୁ ଶକ୍ତି, ସୁରକ୍ଷା ଓ ମାତୃତ୍ୱର ପ୍ରତୀକ ଭାବେ ଗଭୀର ଭକ୍ତି ସହିତ ପୂଜା କରାଯାଏ। ଏହା ମା’ଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ଫେରିବାର ସମୟ ଏବଂ ପରିବାର, ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଓ ସାମାଜିକ ମିଳନର ଉତ୍ସବ।

ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଦୁର୍ଗା ପୂଜାର ସବୁଠାରୁ ବିଶେଷ ଦିଗ ହେଉଛି କଟକର ପୂଜା। କଟକ ନିଜର ଭବ୍ୟ ମେଧ (ସଜ୍ଜିତ ମଞ୍ଚ) ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ। ଅନେକ ମେଧରେ ରୂପା ଓ ସୁନାର କାମ ରହିଥାଏ, ଯାହା କଟକ ଦୁର୍ଗା ପୂଜାକୁ ଦେଶର ଅନ୍ୟତମ ଆକର୍ଷଣୀୟ ପୂଜାରେ ପରିଣତ କରିଛି।
ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ମା’ ଦୁର୍ଗାଙ୍କୁ ଅନ୍ୟ ଦେବତାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ପୂଜା କରାଯାଏ। କେତେକ ପରମ୍ପରାରେ କଳା ବଉ (କଦଳୀ ଗଛ) ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମା’ଙ୍କୁ ଆବାହନ କରାଯାଏ।

ସପ୍ତମୀରୁ ନବମୀ: ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ପୂଜା, ପୁଷ୍ପାଞ୍ଜଳି ଓ ବିଶେଷ ଭୋଗ।
ସନ୍ଧି ପୂଜା: ଅଷ୍ଟମୀ ଓ ନବମୀର ସନ୍ଧିକ୍ଷଣରେ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନୀତି।
ବିଜୟା ଦଶମୀ: ଶେଷ ଦିନରେ ମା’ଙ୍କୁ ବିଦାୟ ଦିଆଯାଏ ଏବଂ ବିସର୍ଜନ (ଭସାଣି) ହୁଏ।
ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ, ଧୁନୁଚି ନାଚ ଓ ସାମୂହିକ ଭୋଜି ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୁଏ।
ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱ: ଭକ୍ତମାନେ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରନ୍ତି ଯେ ଶାରଦୀୟ ପୂଜାରେ ମା’ ଦୁର୍ଗାଙ୍କ ଆରାଧନା କଲେ ଶକ୍ତି ମିଳେ, ବାଧା ଦୂର ହୁଏ ଏବଂ ପରିବାର ନକାରାତ୍ମକ ଶକ୍ତିରୁ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଏ। ଏହା ସମୃଦ୍ଧି, ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ଓ ସୁଖ ପାଇଁ ମା’ଙ୍କ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦ ମାଗିବାର ସମୟ।
ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଲୋକେ କିପରି ପାଳନ କରନ୍ତି: ପଣ୍ଡାଲ ଘୁରିବା (ପଣ୍ଡାଲ ହପିଂ) ବହୁତ ଲୋକପ୍ରିୟ, ବିଶେଷକରି କଟକ, ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସହରରେ। ପରିବାର ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପୂଜା ମଣ୍ଡପ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଯାଆନ୍ତି, ପୁଷ୍ପାଞ୍ଜଳି ଦିଅନ୍ତି, ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଖାଦ୍ୟ ଖାଆନ୍ତି ଏବଂ ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଭାଗ ନିଅନ୍ତି। ବିଜୟା ଦଶମୀରେ ବିସର୍ଜନ ଶୋଭାଯାତ୍ରା ଏକ ଭାବପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରିବେଶ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରେ।

କଟକକୁ ଦୁର୍ଗା ପୂଜାର “ରୂପା ସହର” ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ କାରଣ ଏଠାର ମେଧଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ସୁନ୍ଦର ରୂପାର କାମ ରହିଥାଏ।
